Suck me beautiful

Well after discovering one of the previous chav owners, I assume the same one that thought this fucking exhaust was sik, had drilled the fuck out of the airbox I managed to pick up another from a lad on ClioSport along with a Samco 90° elbow silicone hose and an ITG Profilter panel filter for a good price. So after cleaning and oiling the filter medium I threw it all in. Some people with Ph1s seem to have problems with the Idle Control Valve hose, I just forced the one on the Samco hose into the original hose and all is well. I can’t say that I’ve noticed any gains in performance what so ever but it looks pretty lol. I have however noticed a considerable gain in MPG thanks to the sealed unit not sucking in pure hot air now.

Picked up a brand new set of 6000k HIDs from a lad on ClioSport that bought them but never got round to fitting them, bargain.
Piece of piss to fit, sadly no pictures as my Dad was “helping” lol.
- Remove front bumper
- Remove headlights
- Find a suitable place for the ballasts (under the headlights)
- Remove the dipped beam bulb and holder
- Plug everything in as instructed
- Fit HID in place of dipped beam
- Test
- Rinse and repeat on the other side
- Refit headlights
- Refit front bumper
- Stand back and admire you handy work
All in all it took “us” about 40 minutes all in to do. Well worth doing IMHO as the standard lights on a Ph1 fucking suck. SRSLY you would get more light holding a candle in front of the car. With the HIDs in the amount of light cast in majorly increased so driving at night on unlit roads is no longer a terrifying experience lol.

Yup I am developing a problem.
I ordered this little lot from i4detailing.co.uk and BOOM the next day there it all was. Amazing service TBH.
Anyway I’d read a lot of people banging on about Duragloss 901 and how it’s the bestest shampoo evAr so I thought I’d give it a whirl as I was out of the AG stuff along with some Meg’s Last Touch as I’m getting down with using quick detailer as a drying aid and I’m far too lazy to wax each and everytime I wash the car so can top up the shine with it.
All in all I’m pleased with the results of both of these products and the smell of the 901 is uber.

So I had the cambelt kits and aux belt done…but forgot about the waterpump until I collected the car. TWAT! But figured it would be fine…bad mistake.
Spotted water drops on the drive under where the car had been parked a few weeks later, checked the water level and it had dropped.
Went all over the car and guessed at waterpump, ran it down to the garage and they confirmed it. So got it booked back in and got the aux pullies changed at the same time, something else I forgot lol, and a new aux belt.
Job done, and once again the coolant is staying where it should!

Denso Iridium spark plugs are fucking DOGSHIT. Felt great on kick up from cold, took it out for a spin and all was good. Then I went to the Midlands ClioSport meet, car was running perfectly…and then it started fucking misfiring. FOR FUCKS SAKE! I’d read that people had, had problems with these plugs but as I got them free I thought I’d give them a whirl. Pfft.
Anyway I got some NGK PFR6E-10s ordered straight away and as soon as they turned up I got them fitted. Ran it around and got it nice and hot, no misfire. Took it all the way to Newcastle and back, pet, with not even a cough.
So lesson learnt.
